Do you happen to have any other videos on the smoking processes or processes after wringing the hide? BTW you work and skills are great, seriously good stuff. I will definitely be using what i have learnt from you in africa when im back there and done with my studies here in auz. many thanks!

You vids are a big help in ginning up my courage to try brain tanning a deer hide.

Thanks, Art

p.s. looking forward to softening and smoking the hide.

Hello there, I love your videos You are clearly very knowledgeable in the subject of brain tanning. I am currently following your videos as i attempt my first brain tanning. I am almost caught up to the wringing video, and i was wondering if you would be able to explain briefly how to finish my hide. I assume after the final braining that I can "rack" the hide and manipulate/stretch the hide until dry followed by smoking? would that be sufficient or is softening with pumice and buffing over a rope recommended?

thanks so much for giving us all a well informed visual on the proper technique for brain tanning. i have books but i am very much a visual learner and am very grateful that you decided to share your skills.
